Tanisha + Brendan
Okay where to even begin with summarising this absolutely INCREDIBLE day, with these two legends ?!
Firstly, I’ll start off by saying that from the moment Tanisha asked me to be their photographer, I knew their wedding was going to be one of the best of 2018. Tanisha told me that with her being from Mackay (my hometown) and Brendan being from Newcastle (my NEW hometown - what are the chances?), they had decided to tie the knot smack bang in the middle on the Sunshine Coast, in the little hinterland town of Eumundi. Having been to Eumundi a few times, I knew that it was such a beautiful spot to get married, surrounded by rolling green hills, mountains, valleys and farm land.
They decided to keep things relaxed, and true to them. Tanisha and Brenno are two of the most down to earth and fun people that I’ve had the pleasure of shooting - and they sure threw one heck of a party! I hadn’t even met Brenno before, but right from the get-go when I arrived at the groom prep I was treated like an old friend by the boys and I knew the day was going to be a damn good time.
Everyone travelled from both cities to the Sunny Coast and Tanisha & Brenno said ‘I do’ at The Imperial Hotel, the local Brewery. The ceremony space was decorated beautifully by The Boho Sisters, featuring a gorgeous wooden triangle arbour and complemented with a cascade of flowers and foliage by Heavenly Blooms. Candles lined the aisle and woven baskets filled with dried flowers sat beside the arbour. They stood on a vintage red rug as they said their vows and guests watched on from rows of wooden chairs, shaded by the beautiful big trees in the space. It was the perfect mix of styling for these two. Tanisha wore a stunning Made With Love Bridal dress that fit her like a glove. It’s like that dress was made just for her!
Following on from the ceremony, we all piled into cars and headed up to the first spot for photos that I had scoped out a few months before. A perfectly placed dirt road, right in front of Mt Cooroy. I only had a rough plan for the second location, and thought we might have to jump a fence or two (which these guys were definitely up for!) to get to the next spot before sunset. While taking photographs here.. something serendipitous happened. You know those moments where everything just falls perfectly into place? Yeah well, thanks to a lovely lady called Frances who was out walking her dog, we were all invited onto her private property for the last half an hour of photos. I honestly could’ve cried I was so happy! Her property was everything I had imagined - rolling green hills down to a lake, huge trees and there sat Mt Cooroy - towering above the field in all it’s glory, changing colours from green, to red, to purple as the sun went down. I was one happy little photographer!
After shaking up and popping some bottles of champagne and showering the entire bridal party (one of my favourite moments of the day), and running around in the field, we all headed up to the lookout to watch the sunset over the valley. It was the most stunning sunset, the light was so golden and magic.
From here we headed back to the Imperial Hotel and settled in for a wild night of dancing, good food, good music, and just an all round bloody good time that went late into the night. These two literally had the best day of their lives, and it shows in their photos.
Your wedding day is what YOU make - and these two made the most of every single second. What a way to finish out my 2018 wedding season!
Thank you Tanisha & Brenno xx Deadset Legends!
