Lizzie + Josh

Ahhh THIS DAY! This day was amazing!

I think I hit the jackpot with Lizzie and Josh! Their day was relaxed, modern and above all - really, really fun. It was also a combining of two families and cultures - an Aussie boy from Bondi fell head over heels in love with a girl from Yorkshire - so naturally their wedding was filled with a mix of English and Australian guests, with most of the family meeting each other for the first time, which was so lovely. Their ceremony was held on the lawn overlooking the beach at The Long Reef Golf Club, with a simple, natural theme to the styling. After they were announced as husband and wife, they literally danced their way back down the aisle to Hall & Oats "You Make My Dreams Come True" - which resulted in some of my favourite shots from the day. Lizzy even ran back down the aisle and high-fived everyone! Such a legend!! What made this day unique is the quirky parts of their ceremony - choosing to play a game of rock/paper/scissors to see who would say their vows first, and drawing names out of a hat to decide who would be their witnesses.

Lizzie had a DIY approach to her day, preferring to do her own makeup with her girlfriends in the morning, and opting to have a bouquet of simple flowers made by a friend. Lizzie chose the Verdelle 2.0 gown by Grace Loves Lace, saying "it was the easiest decision of her wedding - stunning French lace with the most incredible sleeves and the perfect length - comfortable, sexy and effortlessly beautiful”.

After the ceremony, the whole bridal party jumped onto golf buggies and they had a champagne picnic as the sun set behind us. We then made our way up on to the headland for some intimate portraits of Lizzie & Josh together on the cliff at dusk. It was a truly amazing day and one I am really excited to share with you!
