Kirstie + Nelson

As soon as I met Kristie I knew their wedding was going to be a fun one! When she told me that they were planning to get married at Seaforth, and wanted photographs at Cape Hillsborough I knew we were a wonderful fit. Having grown up at Seaforth, I have photographed there a lot and know the way around like the back of my hand.. naturally, that area is one of my favourite places in the whole world.

Kirstie & Nelson's wedding was one of the most relaxed, laid-back, beautiful, fun days that I've had the pleasure of photographing. Kirstie, her girls and her Mum got ready at a little holiday house right on the beach front at Ball Bay. We had fun taking photos on the verandah and then walked down to the beautiful trees that line the beach for some more. The ceremony was held at Sticks & Stones, a beautiful venue at Seaforth. They became Mr & Mrs Abela in front of family and friends on a lovely grassy area between the mango trees. I had so much fun with the bridal party, as we photographed on the beach amongst the incredible rocky shoreline at Cape Hillsborough. We watched the sun set behind the mountains at Mt Jukes, and I snapped some of my favourite portraits of the couple as they had some quiet time, just the two of them. The party went late into the night, the speeches were amazing, and there was so much love in the room for these two people. It was a very special evening.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Abela. Thanks for having me there, it was a beautiful day x
