Georgia + Sean
This wedding was so special to me as a photographer, but more importantly as a friend. Georgia and I have been friends since the minute we met in Grade 10. I’m pretty sure our first class we had together was Textiles, and I was instantly drawn to her witty banter and gorgeous, kind smile! We had a really tight friendship group all throughout school, and I’m so proud and grateful to say that we have kept this as we’ve all grown from teenagers to adults. Georgia was the first one to become engaged, and so naturally, we all flew from far and wide, and across oceans, to be together and celebrate with her. It was the first time since school that we were all reunited, and it was super special - ahh, writing this now is giving me all the warm and fuzzies!
I was there on the morning when Sean proposed to Georgia. It was actually her birthday! The day before, I had photographed her cousin’s wedding and many of their friends and family (me included) were sleeping over at Georgia’s mum’s farm house. He woke her up at 5am and led her down into a field in the garden, where he had carved the question into a tree. It’s quite a funny story, because she was very mad that he was insisting she get out of bed to come out into the garden so early! (hehe) Meanwhile, all of us girls had woken up, and were peering out over the verandah into the field, watching and waiting with excitement. When they returned to the house, we all started crying and hugging. Of course she said YES.
Georgia & Sean ❤️ Thank you so much for giving me the honour of capturing these moments. I hope in many years to come you will look back at your photographs and remember your day, as if it were yesterday.
I wish you both a lifetime of love & happiness xx
Love always, your friend Khara
